The book is tight and square with clean boards and mild wear to corners. Textblock is clean with no writing, bookplate, or marks and not BCE, ex-library, or remaindered. 32 pages. No dust jacket, as issued.

A short story set in Cuba that tells the violent tale of Catherine, who resents her older sister, Mary Louise, and her interest in boys. This Collector's Edition was limited to 350 signed and numbered copies, of which 300 were for sale.

Cozzens won the 1949 Pulitzer Prize for "Guard of Honor" and was nominated for a second Pulitzer in 1958 for "By Love Possessed."
